Dr. Alyssa Hirschman

Dr. Alyssa Hirschman grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Churchill High School in 2005. She has always been interested in physical activity and the ways in which conservative therapy can heal and improve performance. She worked as a personal trainer at the beginning of her college career and then transitioned into massage therapy in 2011, continuing to work as a licensed massage therapist while completing her degree in Kinesiology at The University of Maryland in 2014. During that time she also worked with autistic children, providing Applied Behavioral Therapy.

To continue developing her skills with using her hands to heal, she decided to pursue her doctorate in chiropractic. Although she had not personally had chiropractic treatment before, upon learning about it she knew it was the right choice. Through her chiropractic training she further developed her skills in treating a wide array of musculoskeletal diseases using conservative therapy.

Dr. Hirschman graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Port Orange, FL at the start of the pandemic in March of 2020. She spent the next several years honing her skills under various doctors at various types of clinics before deciding to open her own practice. She had experienced that many clinics prioritize quantity over quality of treatment, so she created her practice, Healing Hands PREP, with the philosophy of pursuing quality of treatment over quantity.

Dr. Hirschman continues to serve the Montgomery County community with the hopes of spreading awareness of chiropractic treatment and helping the people in her community ease their aches and pains, improve their quality of life, and perform better.

In her free time. Dr. Hirschman enjoys spending time with her 12 month old baby, who is growing fast. Dr. Hirschman worked for a significant portion of her pregnancy and relied on chiropractic care for a natural birth. From firsthand experience, she understands how to provide high-quality care to expecting mothers.
